Can the Orlando Magic win their second ever NBA finals game as a small two(2) point favorite with the over / under total at 201 as posted at Bookmaker.com against one of the greatest sports franchises of all time which would mean they would have to win two(2) in a row? My answer to that is NO! The bottom line is it took everything the Orlando Magic had to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night to win their first ever NBA Finals game(they are now 1 win and 5 losses straight up) and to think that they will now win two(2) NBA Finals games in a row seems to be a stretch to me. Los Angeles head coach Phil “the fixer” Jackson knows if his Lakers team wins the game tonight this series will be all but over. With a Lakers win tonight the Orlando Magic would have to win three(3) games in a row including two(2) games in Los Angeles and that is NEVER going to happen. Look for the Los Angeles Lakers to come out tonight and take immediate control of the game on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. I expect the Los Angeles Lakers to win this game tonight pretty easy, then get blown out in game #5 in Orlando on Sunday only to come back to Los Angeles to win game #6 on their home floor where they can celebrate with their fans.

In the opener at this writing, LA answered every Padres scoring spurt with either and Ethier homer or a Kemp blast (6-3 LA now, B8). So let’s stay logical and bang another big favorite in baseball tonight at Chavez Ravine and fade SD which was just 8-19 on the road heading into Game 1 on Tuesday Scully. Plus, LA was an impressive 22-8 at Dodger Stadium heading in to last night. And don’t forget the simple reality that the Dodgers just don’t like losing to their Southern California rivals and have been tough against NL West opponents to date. So with that change of momentum, a good handicap would be to back the Penguins to tie this bad boy up in a 1-goal win therefore. The big question is, does it end 4-3 or 3-2? And will an empty net goal affect an UNDER pick?
Seems Game 4 will be a lot like Game #3 played a few nights ago and if Pittsburgh can get Sidney Crosby to light the red lamp, siding with Pittsburgh and a more confident home-side in a game where both teams score 3 goals seems about right. But tread lightly tonight if you are going to bet this game as the way the hobbled World Champs will play and the way the zebras will call the game in The Steel City are two very big variables.

Instead the Orlando Magic will meet the Los Angeles Lakers in game #1 of the 2009 NBA Finals at Staples Center.
