The Cincinnati Bengals head to New England to face the Patriots on Thursday night to kick off week #2 of the 2009 NFL preseason which of course is the second week the football betting season. Is some money to be made here? The wagering point spread on this game opened at the New England Patriots a four(4) and one-half(1/2) point favorite over the Cincinnati Bengals at Bookmaker.com with the over / under total at thirty-seven(37) and one-half(1/2) point. The current line on this game as I post my pick at Bookmaker.com is New England -6.5 with the over / under total at 36 points scored.

In my opinion this game has OVER written all over it. I watched Cincinnati play the New Orleans Saints last week and they moved up and down the field throwing the football for BIG yardage on every play to multiple receivers. Now of course I know Cincinnati did not score a lot of points(they only scored seven(7) points), but neither did the Saints because it was a low scoring football game. This NFL preseason game on Thursday night is going to be high scoring. New England looked to be back in 2007 offensive form with their win over the Philadelphia Eagles in week #1 of the 2009 NFL preseason and because they score at will Cincinnati’s offence will be out on the field an awful long time which means by default they will be putting big points on the scoreboard.
Everybody who knows Dave “The MeatMan” Scandaliato knows I like to play under the total, but NOT in this spot tonight. My FREE WINNER for the Cincinnati Bengals @ New England Patriots game on Thursday, August 20, 2009, is to take the football game OVER 36 total points scored!
