Tom Brady and the high powered New England Patriots travel to our nations capital to face the Washington Redskins on Friday night in an NFC vs. AFC 2009 NFL preseason football match up for week #3 in a game that probably does not mean much to the Patriots and probably does mean something for the Redskins. The current odds betting point spread on this game at Bookmaker.com has the New England Patriots a three and one half(3.5) point road favorite with the over / under total on the game at thirty-seven and one-half(37.5).
Call me crazy, but I will be on the Washington Redskins plus the points on Friday night as this game means ABSOLUTELY ZERO to the New England Patriots. The Patriots have already seen what Tom Brady can do after missing all of the 2008 NFL season with a knee injury in their first preseason game of the 2009 campaign against the Philadelphia Eagles where he looked to be in past midseason form. Washington on the other hand needs to get better and I think they will use this game to try and accomplish this. Sure the Redskins won their preseson game last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they did it in the second half of the game when there are third, fourth and fifth string players in the game for the other team.

I expect Washington to leave their starters in the game for a longer time then the New England Patriots in their contest on Friday, and because of this I expect them to take control of the game in the second half to finish their 2009 NFL preseason with a perfect 2 wins 0 losses home record against two(2) of the better teams in the league which will help their confidence as we get closer to the official start of the 2009 NFL football regular season they will finally start to play for real!!
